Preparing a proper beef stock is not easy
- it takes the right ingredients, attention to detail,
and a lot of patience. The Cooking Show guys have
made brown stock before, but always with mixed results.
In this episode they seek professional help, and enlist good friend and
classically-trained chef Johan Maes to show them how it's done. Johan
invites Alex and Jeff into his restaurant kitchen to learn the secrets of
making stock, and although he's preparing a restaurant-sized batch, you can
apply the same principles at home in your quest for a successful sauce.
