The May 24 holiday is the most important weekend in Canada, marking the
official start of the summer camping and cottage season. Sure, Alex and
Jeff have been camping all year round, but usually it's the glorious May 24
weekend that sees The Cooking Show crew expand ranks.
Killarney Provincial Park is once again the setting for this exciting
occasion, and Chef Johan Maes is baking Polish buns
over the campfire before he turns live lobsters into a rich
and regal Risotto. The next
day Alex is braising beef and deep-frying French fries over the open fire,
he then puts it all together to make the quintessential Canadian dish Prime Rib
Poutine.
